June 29 - According to reporter Michael Scotto , the Brooklyn Nets have decided not to exercise forward Ziyel Williams ' $ 6.25 million team option for the 2025-26 season , making him a free agent this summer.
The report states that although the Nets may still re-sign Williams, he will enter the free agent market this summer, ending his two seasons with Brooklyn.
The 24- year -old Williams played 56 games in the 2025-26 season, starting 13 of them , averaging 10.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 1.1 assists per game, setting a career high in scoring. He missed the final five games of the season due to a left foot injury but is expected to be able to recover before training camp.
