Sheep Esports exclusively reported on Tuesday that former Invictus Gaming (iG) League of Legends top laner Lim Seong-min (ID: Soboro) is rumoured to be joining Fnatic.

According to the report, Fnatic has been scouting and considering several players worldwide. The experienced powerhouse even considered signing T1 Academy's prodigy Seong Tae-hyo (ID: Guardian), but after much deliberation, decided to bring in Soboro.

Fnatic announced several months ago, after the LEC Spring Split, that they had benched their former top laner Empyros.

Since the beginning of the year, the team has frequently placed their Greek top laner on the weaker side, making it difficult for him to utilize his strengths.

Recently released by iG, Soboro previously won the 2026 Demacia Cup with the team and participated in the first season of the LPL. Now, he will be making his LEC debut.

It's worth mentioning that this transfer also means Soboro will reunite with Park Joon-hyeong (ID: Lospa).

The two briefly played for Gen.G Academy early in their professional careers in 2021.

While Soboro has relatively little experience in the top-tier league, his professional career actually began several years ago.

The top laner has played for several LCK clubs, including HANJJIN BRION and BNK FEARX, but his appearances in the Korean top-tier league have been limited.

He spent most of his professional career in the LCK Challenger League, winning the league title last year with the FEARX Academy.

Earlier this year, Soboro joined Invictus Gaming (iG), but his performance ultimately failed to meet the club's expectations, leading to his benching after his first season.

He was recently released by the Chinese club before the announcement of Kang Seung-lok's (ID: TheShy) return to the starting roster.
