The 76ers and Celtics have reached a super trade, swapping Brown and George.

According to ESPN, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics have reached a blockbuster trade that will shake up the league.

The Boston Celtics agreed to send former NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for nine-time All-Star forward Paul George and multiple draft picks.

To complete this trade, the 76ers sent Paul George, two first-round draft picks (in 2028 and 2031), and two second-round draft picks (in 2028 and 2030) to the Celtics. The 2031 first-round pick is an unprotected pick for Philadelphia.

The 30-year-old Brown just had the best season of his career, averaging 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game, and led the Celtics to their 18th championship in 2024, winning the Finals MVP award.

Brown's future in Boston has been questioned in recent weeks. The Celtics attempted to trade him for Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, but failed, and subsequently began trading Brown across the league. Now, he will head to Philadelphia to form a new core roster with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

The 36-year-old George has played for Philadelphia for the past two years, averaging 16.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in 78 games. George's salary this season is $54.1 million, with a player option for the 2027-28 season; while Brown's salary this season is $57 million.
