Toulouse striker Emerson has officially joined Ipswich Town on a five-year contract.

Newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town announced on Wednesday that Brazilian striker Emerson Correa da Silva has joined the club from Toulouse. The two sides signed a five-year contract, valid until June 30, 2031.

Other reports indicate that Emerson's transfer fee is €28 million plus €3 million in add-ons.

Emerson, 21, came through the youth academy of Athletico Paranaense and made his professional debut for the first team in the Brazilian Serie A on July 1, 2024. After leaving Athletico Paranaense, he briefly played for Goztepe in the Turkish league before transferring to Toulouse in September 2025 for €8.8 million.

To date, Emerson has made 31 appearances for Toulouse, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists. With his help, Toulouse finished ninth in Ligue 1 last season with a record of 12 wins, 9 draws, and 13 losses, accumulating 45 points.

Regarding the signing, Ipswich Town president Mark Ashton commented, "Emerson's arrival is an exciting moment for the club."
