Beşiktaş announced on their official website on Tuesday that they have signed Bayern Munich's Germany international goalkeeper Alexander Nübel.

According to the Turkish Süper Lig giants' official statement, Nübel has signed on a three-year contract which runs until the summer of 2029. He will also wear the number 1 jersey.

About Alexander Nübel

The 29-year-old Alexander Nübel was born on September 30, 1996, in Paderborn, Germany. He is 1.93 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper.

Nübel joined Paderborn's youth academy at the age of nine and was promoted to the first team in 2014.

The following summer, Nübel moved to Schalke 04 and began playing for their reserve team that same year.

In October 2018, Nübel made his Schalke first-team debut in a UEFA Champions League match against Galatasaray.

During his two-year spell with Die Königsblauen, Nübel's outstanding performances made him one of Germany's most promising young goalkeepers.

After his contract expired in the summer of 2020, Nübel became the second former Schalke first-choice goalkeeper, after Manuel Neuer, to join Bayern Munich on a free transfer.

However, during his time with Die Roten, Nübel received almost no playing time, spending most of his time out on-loan.

In the summer of 2021, Nübel was loaned-out to Monaco for two years. During this time, his impressive performances made him one of the best goalkeepers in Ligue 1.

In the summer of 2023, Nübel was loaned-out to Stuttgart for three years.

Over the past three years, Nübel has made 129 appearances for the Bundesliga club in all competitions, conceding 180 goals and keeping 38 clean sheets, as well as winning the DFB-Pokal once with the team.
