Former Liverpool left-back Yasser Larouci officially joins Le Mans on a free transfer..

Le Mans announced on their official website on Thursday that former Liverpool left-back Yasser Larouci has joined the club on a free transfer.

According to Le Mans' official statement, Larouci has signed on a three-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029. He will also wear the number 76 jersey.

About Yasser Larouci

The 25-year-old Larouci was born on January 1, 2001, in El Oued, Algeria. He is 1.76 meters tall and primarily plays as a left-back, but can also play as a left midfielder. He holds dual Algerian and French citizenship.

Larouci played for Le Havre's youth academy as a child before joining Liverpool's renowned Kirkby youth academy in 2019.

During his time with Liverpool's youth academy, Larouci's outstanding performances earned him praise and promotion from then-first-team manager Jürgen Klopp, culminating in him completing his Liverpool first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in an FA Cup match against Everton in January 2020.

However, after suffering a malicious tackle that broke his leg in a friendly against Sevilla, Larouci's performances declined significantly upon his return, leading to his release by the Premier League giants the following summer.

After leaving Liverpool, Larouci joined Troyes on a free transfer.

From the summer of 2023 until the first half of 2026, Larouci played on-loan at Sheffield United, Watford, and Kifisia.

During his time at Troyes, Larouci made 44 appearances for the newly promoted Ligue 1 side in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
