BetBoom advances to the semifinals; the final four teams for the Dota 2 tournament are now complete.

In the quarterfinals of the 2026 Dota 2 Esports World Cup (EWC) playoffs held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Eastern European powerhouse BetBoom Team demonstrated its dominant strength, defeating the popular team Nigma Galaxy 2-0 and advancing strongly to the semifinals.

With the conclusion of this match, the final four teams for the Dota 2 event at this year's Esports World Cup have been determined: BetBoom Team, Vici Gaming (VG), PARIVISION, and Team Yandex.

The teams that successfully made it to the semifinals not only secured a hefty prize of at least $120,000, but will also make a final push for the ultimate championship trophy.

In the series against Nigma Galaxy, BetBoom Team completely dominated their opponents in terms of tactical drafting and strategic execution. In the first game, BetBoom's core player Kiritych, playing Naga Siren, farmed perfectly under the cover of his teammates, racking up a whopping 1,100 GPM and nearly 35,000 gold, easily securing the first win.

In the second game, Nigma gained an early advantage with a triple kill in a team fight using the Wit rune, but as the game progressed into the mid-game, BetBoom dominated team fights with their dual cores fully developed. Kiritych went on a rampage with a pentakill, completely shattering the opponent's hopes of a comeback, and ultimately swept Nigma 2-0 to advance.

In the next semifinal round, BetBoom Team will face off against the Chinese team Vici Gaming. Vici Gaming previously upset 1w Team and championship favorites Team Falcon. Meanwhile, the other half of the bracket features a clash between PARIVISION and Team Yandex.

Although BetBoom is widely favored to break through and enter the finals, the battle for the top four is still full of suspense against the red-hot VG.
