Several Argentine players will be punished with bans by FIFA.

FIFA has officially announced a disciplinary investigation into the violent clashes that erupted after the World Cup final match between Spain and Argentina.

Following the widely watched final, several physical altercations broke out on the field, and several key players of the Argentine team are now facing severe suspensions.

Chaos erupted at the stadium after the final whistle blew in Spain's World Cup victory on Sunday. Argentine player Nanavil Molina rushed onto the field and struck Spain's captain Rodri in the abdomen.

Meanwhile, a large-scale brawl broke out between the two sides near the center line, during which Leandro Paredes grabbed Eric Garcia by the throat and then pushed Garvy to the ground.

Referee Slavko Vencic showed Paredes a straight red card after the match. Prior to this, Enzo Fernandez had already been sent off with a red card late in regular time, and Argentina's coach Scaloni and three other Argentine players had also received yellow cards.

In its official statement, FIFA's Disciplinary Committee clearly stated that it has appointed a disciplinary and ethics prosecutor to evaluate the match report and conduct a full investigation into whether any personnel involved violated disciplinary guidelines after the match.

In addition, FIFA is also simultaneously investigating Argentina's misconduct after their semi-final victory over England, in which Argentine players celebrated by displaying politically charged banners concerning territorial sovereignty.

Because FIFA strictly prohibits any form of political statement from being made on the field, the players and personnel involved in this incident may also face penalties such as suspension.
