Scotto: Hawks sign former Nets forward Jalen Wilson to a two-way contract

According to NBA insider Michael Scotto on Tuesday, the Atlanta Hawks have reached a two-way contract agreement with Jalen Wilson. Given Wilson's three-year NBA experience, the contract can only cover a maximum of one season.

Wilson, 25, is a 6'6" forward weighing 100kg. He was selected by the Brooklyn Nets in the second round with the 51st overall pick in 2023. He was frequently sent down to the G League for development during his rookie season, and gradually grew into a regular member of the rotation over the next two seasons.

To date, Wilson has played 176 regular season games for the Nets, averaging 7.4 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 20.2 minutes per game, with a field goal percentage of 39.6% and a three-point percentage of 35.5%. He also played 22 games for the Nets' G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, averaging 18.1 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 19.0 minutes per game.

Wilson became a free agent earlier this month after the Nets refused to make a qualifying offer. His arrival means the Hawks have now filled their two-way contract roster, with the remaining two spots occupied by guards Ridge Dennis and Kessean Gilbert.
