BLG's top laner Bin announced a hiatus, and the team promoted Wenbo from their academy team.

The League of Legends LPL region has undergone a major personnel change, with Bin, the top laner for Bilibili Gaming (BLG) esports club, officially announcing his hiatus.

Bin has decided to suspend his matches for the start of the Summer Split due to his physical condition and competitive form not being at their best, after communicating with the team, for indefinite rest and adjustment. However, according to current plans, he is expected to return to the competition before key events such as the playoffs or the World Championship.

Previously, there were rumors that BLG was looking for other well-known top laners or Korean players to join them, but the team ultimately chose to find a solution from its own youth training system, officially promoting Wenbo, the top laner from the second team (BLG Junior), to the first team to fill the vacancy in the top lane position.

BLG demonstrated an extremely high level of competition in the first half of this year, not only winning the LPL first stage championship, but also defeating strong opponents all the way to the finals of the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).

However, in the recent EWC quarterfinals held in Paris, the team suffered a shock defeat to DK and was eliminated in the top eight, with Bin encountering considerable difficulties in the competition.

Although only 22 years old, Bin has been competing professionally for eight years and has been with BLG for over four years. This break is a short adjustment after a period of high-intensity matches. For BLG, without this core player, the team will inevitably need to accelerate their integration and adapt to the new lineup in the upcoming series.
