Iraola is happy that Szoboszlai has renewed his contract with Liverpool.

Before the start of the new season, we only had five friendlies, so every training session and every preseason game was very important to us."

“Sometimes we don’t have enough time for the whole team to train together. So we must make the most of what we gain from every warm-up match, because our goal is to be in the best possible condition for the first game of the new season.”

Speaking about goalkeeper Alisson, Andoni Iraola said, "I'm very happy with the current goalkeeper position in the team. We have Alisson, and Mamadashvili. We also have Freddy Woodman, who got playing time last season, so the goalkeepers can provide reliable support for the team."

“With the departure of some experienced players, the dressing room has lost some important pillars, and Alisson is the one who can take on this responsibility. He will play a very important role in helping new signings and young players adapt to the team.
