Premier League giants Manchester City have announced that they have extended the contract of 26-year-old midfielder Fredon until 2030.
Foden, who came through Manchester City's youth academy, has made 369 appearances for the "Citizens" in all competitions and has contributed 110 goals.
In addition, Foden has won six Premier League titles, three FA Cup titles, five League Cup titles, and one Champions League title with Manchester City.
In an interview, Foden said, "It means a lot to me to be able to continue my future in Manchester. Playing for this club has always been my dream since I was a child. Every time I wear the Manchester City shirt, it is an honor for me."
“I am always grateful to be a part of the club’s glorious history. We have won many championships, but our eyes are always on the future, and we hope to win more honors.”
Foden also said, "I just want to thank the club, coaching staff, staff, teammates and all the fans. Thank you for always believing in me, and I will continue to give my all for Manchester City, hoping to repay everyone's support for many years to come."
“I can’t wait to work with Maresca again. He was outstanding during our treble-winning season. All the players respected him and enjoyed working with him. We are all very excited about his return.”
In addition, Foden added, "Over the years, with the help of the coaching staff and many top teammates, I have made great progress. As the legendary players who were with me when I first joined the first team have left, I am also very excited about this new phase of my career."
