Shams: Draymond Green signed a one-year, $27.7 million extension with the Warriors, with no no-trade clause.

According to a report by ESPN's Shams Charania on Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors have reached a contract extension agreement with four-time All-Star forward Draymond Green. The two sides will sign a one-year, $27.7 million contract, which does not include a no-trade clause.

It's worth noting that the contract amount is exactly the same as the player option that Green voluntarily opted out of in June of this year. His primary reason for opting out was to free up more salary cap space for the Warriors to pursue LeBron James.

After signing his contract extension, the 36-year-old Green will be entering his 14th NBA season. As the 35th overall pick in the second round of the 2012 NBA draft, he has played 949 regular season games for the Warriors, averaging 8.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.3 steals in 28.6 minutes per game, and has garnered numerous individual accolades, including one Defensive Player of the Year award, five All-Defensive First Team selections, and one steals title.

Green also played 169 playoff games, averaging 11.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.5 steals in 34.5 minutes per game, with a field goal percentage of 44.5% and a three-point percentage of 30.0%. With his outstanding defense and playmaking abilities, he made significant contributions to the Warriors' four NBA championships.

With Draymond Green officially returning to the team, the Warriors are expected to have 12 standard contracts. They currently have approximately $8.3 million in cap space above the second-highest salary threshold, theoretically allowing them to sign three more minimum-salary players.
