Is the companion item really that useful? Bai Li Shouyue's quirks in the Chinese server, the Shadowless Spear is considered godlike. (Part 3)

Visual appeal and impact feel make it easy for Chinese players to make trade-offs. Special effects don't need to be flashy; the most important thing is that they match the attack methods. The pain of a sniper's bullet is something that players on the development path must feel. The elemental surge only disrupts vision and makes it hard to tell who is launching the attack. The Shadow Sharpshooter has a design almost identical to the original skin, but it has the speed and explosiveness of shooting.

The Agent Phantom is easy to blend into the environment, and its stealth has its advantages and disadvantages. The deep purple color scheme makes it difficult to spot. The Snow Leopard Frostclaw, on the other hand, has a bright color scheme and a little snow leopard companion. The modeling and appearance are indeed top-notch. Holding an ice crystal weapon, its inconspicuousness is a plus. However, when it comes to the combat feel, it doesn't suit the high-level battlefield. This one flaw is enough to make people lose the desire to rank up. Admittedly, the new outfit's special effects are pleasing, making one feel happy, but in actual combat, it feels like going to a funeral, leading to giving up.

When it first appeared in the Rift, it received rave reviews. As one of the limited-time heroes, Baili Shouyue, who hadn't yet been overused, sparked a buying frenzy. Having missed its rerun, a player who had just started practicing it as their main hero immediately placed an order. Initially, they loved the satisfying sound of the eagle's spear piercing their heart, but after a while, it was relegated to the warehouse. It's rarely seen in ranked matches, since Baili Shouyue has no market there, and it's unlikely to appear in the Chinese server. Why aren't other epic weapons mentioned? Because weapons like Baixiang Shoumeng and Zhenwo Hertz all have poor feel and are all show and no substance. While their elemental designs and styles are diverse and their special effects are good, Zhuque Zhi's weakness is its noise. The eagle's shriek, a deafening roar, should have the power to pierce the soul, but after playing for a while, it becomes grating.

There is feedback on the hits, but unfortunately, the rework of Baili Shouyue has made him mainly a basic attack, resulting in a lighter feel. When he was playing as a sniper, he was all the rage. His second skill was released frequently, and when he hit the target, it felt like the bullet was tearing his body apart. Another drawback is that the vision device of his first skill is conspicuous, including the charging process of his second skill. In short, it exposes his position and makes him easy to be targeted.

In conclusion, the default skin isn't actually that great. Compared to other heroes' skins in the Chinese server, the default skin isn't even in the top tier. It's just that no skin for Baili Shouyue is truly perfect and high-end; each one has its own flaws. People just gave up on the visual appeal and chose the feel of the skin.
