Stuttgart have officially announced the signing of Slovakian starlet Leo Scholl. The 20-year-old attacker transferred from Dutch giants Feyenoord and signed a long-term contract valid until June 30, 2031. After completing his medical, Leo Scholl officially became Stuttgart's new signing this summer and will wear the number 44 jersey next season, injecting new energy into the team's attack.
After completing the signing, Leo Scholl said: "I am incredibly excited to join a club with such a rich history and outstanding reputation. Stuttgart not only has a glorious football tradition, but also a group of passionate fans. I can't wait to fight alongside my new teammates and make my debut for the team. In the future, I hope to achieve the best possible results with the team in the Bundesliga, the German Cup, and European competitions."
Stuttgart Sport Director Fabian Volgmut said: "Leo Scholl has proven his ability in the Eredivisie, the Europa League, and when he wears the Slovakian national team jersey. For such a young player, he has shown excellent potential. We firmly believe that as he continues to grow, he will become an important part of the team's attacking system in the coming years and help the team further improve its overall strength."
Leo Scholl was born in Slovakia and began his football career in Slovan, Bratislava, before moving to the Žilina youth academy to continue his development. In the summer of 2022, the then 16-year-old young player joined Dutch giants Feyenoord, officially embarking on his overseas professional career.
After joining Feyenoord, Leo Scholl initially played primarily for the club's U21 team, gradually adapting to the new football environment. On August 20, 2023, he made his Eredivisie debut and began to be included in the first team rotation. Since then, the young attacker has made a total of 63 appearances in the Eredivisie, including a loan spell at NAC Breda in the 2024/25 season, where he made 31 league appearances, accumulating valuable match experience.
Before joining Stuttgart, Leo Scholl had already contributed 12 goals and 8 assists in the Eredivisie, gradually developing into a consistent attacking player. Last season, he played 6 Europa League matches for Feyenoord and scored 1 goal, and he also made two appearances in the Champions League in the 2023/24 season.
At the national team level, Leo Scholl has made 11 appearances for the Slovakian senior national team. He made his national team debut on March 26, 2024, at the age of 18, in an international friendly against Norway, and was selected for the squad for the 2024 European Championship, where he made one appearance.
