Danny Imre has joined Wrexham, signing a four-year contract.

Wrexham United have officially announced the signing of Danny Imre. The wing-back joined from Crystal Palace, with the transfer fee yet to be disclosed. As Wrexham's first signing of the summer, Imre has agreed to a four-year contract and arrived in New York during the team's U.S. tour to join his new teammates.  

The 23-year-old Danny Imre initially played for Chelmsford City before joining Crystal Palace's youth academy and developing into a professional player. Last season, he joined West Bromwich Albion on loan, gaining valuable playing time and experience in the Championship.  

After completing the transfer, Dani Imre spoke about his feelings about joining Wrexham, saying: "First of all, I think this is a club that is constantly improving. The team is currently developing in a very positive direction, and you can clearly feel that they are moving towards higher goals. What attracts me is not only the team's performance on the field, but also the club's overall development philosophy. I watched 'Welcome to Wrexham,' which made me realize that they not only want to succeed in football, but are also committed to building a club that continues to grow off the field as well."  

“The community is very important to Wrexham, and I strongly agree with that philosophy. A club cannot exist without the support of its fans; without them, football loses its most important meaning. There are many things that attracted me to come here, but what I am most excited about is the club’s ambition for the future; they hope to one day reach the Premier League. After speaking with the manager, I felt that this is a project full of potential, and I am very much looking forward to being a part of it.”  

Danny Imre entered the professional scene at a young age, making his debut for Chelmsford City at 16 in the Southern Nations League. The following year, he moved to Crystal Palace, beginning a new phase of his development. During his time at Crystal Palace, the wing-back made five appearances for the club's development team in the English Football League Cup, and was also loaned out to Chelmsford City, Bromley, and Blackpool, gaining experience across different league levels.  

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson, speaking about Dani Imre's signing, said: "We are delighted to welcome Dani Imre. His journey has been remarkable, working his way up from the lower leagues and striving for the Premier League. He is a young player with tremendous potential. It was a very happy occasion to meet him in New York and officially welcome him to the team."
