Federico Lavarglia has officially joined Watford, signing a six-year contract.

Watford have officially announced the signing of goalkeeper Federico Labaria. The 26-year-old Italian goalkeeper has permanently transferred from Serie A side Bologna, signing a six-year contract. Labaria will officially don the Watford jersey next season, beginning a new chapter at Vicarage Road.  

Speaking about Federico Labaria's signing, Watford Group Technical Director Gianluca Nani said : " Federico Labaria is a very experienced goalkeeper. He has not only played in the top and second divisions of Italy for a long time, but also has experience playing in European competitions. I believe that this experience will have a positive impact on the team."  

"Federico Ravalia not only possesses outstanding technical ability and excellent talent, but also strong leadership. He can communicate effectively on the field, direct the operation of the defense, and play an important role in the locker room."  

After completing his signing, Federico Lavarglia expressed his immense excitement at becoming a Watford player. He looks forward to making his debut at Vicarage Road as soon as possible and welcoming the new season with the fans, and the club's rich history was also a significant factor in his decision.  

Last season, Federico Ravalia made 25 appearances for Bologna, gaining valuable first-team experience. He sees joining Watford as a new beginning in his career. He said , " That last season was very meaningful for me; I got plenty of playing time and grew a lot as a result."  

“For me, the most important thing has always been to be able to play consistently. Therefore, I decided to join Watford in the hope of continuing to get playing time, maintain good form, and grow both as a player and as an individual. My family is very supportive of this decision and they are happy for me to start a new chapter in my career.”  

When asked about his reasons for joining Watford, Federico Ravalia said : " The club's rich history is very appealing to me. I've been following Watford for years and have heard many stories about the fans and the atmosphere at Vicarage Road. I'm really looking forward to standing in front of them and playing for the team."  

“ I am fully prepared and I am very much looking forward to making my debut at Vicarage Road and giving back to the fans with a great performance. I believe it will be an unforgettable experience .”  

Speaking about his upcoming new chapter in England, Federico Ravalia revealed that he has already spoken with the head coach. He added , " I've met with the head coach and I believe he will help me adapt to English football as quickly as possible. I have some understanding of the Championship; it's a very competitive league with a tight schedule and a large number of matches, and it's also very physically demanding. I'm looking forward to this challenge and believe it will be a great experience."
