Jaden Anthony: The new season has me very motivated, and I believe that playing alongside excellent teammates will help me continue to grow.

Brentford's new signing Jaden Anthony has expressed his anticipation for a better season and believes that joining the club will further advance his career. The 26-year-old winger officially joined Brentford from Burnley in early July to begin a new challenge.

Last season in the Premier League for Burnley, Jaden Anthony delivered 8 goals and 4 assists, setting a new personal best for a single Premier League season. Now, having joined Brentford, he hopes to maintain his good form in his new environment and continue to improve his performance.

Reflecting on last season's performance, Jadon Anthony said , " From a personal perspective, the 2025/26 season was a very positive year for me, and I achieved some commendable results. However, I am also aware that there is still room for improvement. As a player, I always hope to be better each season than before, and most of the time, I have been able to achieve that goal."

“Joining Brentford is a step up for me, and I will have the opportunity to play alongside many excellent players. I am really looking forward to the new season and believe that playing with high-level teammates will help me continue to grow. I am confident that I can continue to improve my performance and hope to surpass last season. This is one of the most confident phases of my career.”

After arriving in West London from Lancashire, Jaden Anthony quickly adapted to the environment at Brentford and showed good form in pre-season training. He scored in a closed-door friendly against AFC Wimbledon and then traveled with the team to Portugal for training camp to prepare for the new season.

Jaden Anthony continued , “ That game was a fantastic experience, and I look forward to playing more games in the future. Scoring always brings a positive feeling, and I’m happy with my shooting performance. Although this game won’t count in the official statistics, it’s very important to me to start the preseason this way. I hope to maintain this form and carry this feeling into the new season.”

Speaking about his preseason experience, Jadon Anthony said , " Preseason training is always challenging and requires a lot of effort. However, the team's current game philosophy and the head coach's requirements are different from some systems I've encountered in the past, which makes it feel very fresh to me. I enjoy the process of adapting to the new tactics and the new environment."

"The team's training schedule is very reasonable at the moment, and it has found a good balance between training intensity and recovery time. Many people have heard how tough the high-intensity running training in preseason is, but so far, I haven't encountered too many similar situations. Of course, it may be too early to draw conclusions now."

"As training time increases, players will gradually become familiar with each other's playing habits and understand their teammates' choices and approaches on the field, which is the key to building chemistry. In addition to teamwork in training, off-field communication is equally important. Everyone needs to actively communicate, let their teammates know their playing style, and also understand their thoughts."

“This is an ideal team for an offensive player like me. The team wants to take an aggressive approach to offense and constantly create scoring opportunities, which I’m really looking forward to. I believe I can fit into this great team and help the team through my performance.”
