Fulham have signed two Real Madrid youngsters, Gonzalo and Palacios, who have both joined the club.

Fulham officially announced on Monday that Gonzalo Garcia has joined the club from Real Madrid. The two sides signed a five-year contract with an option to extend for another year.

The 22-year-old Gonzalo came through Real Madrid's youth academy and made his first-team debut in La Liga on November 27, 2023. He primarily plays as a center forward and has made 51 appearances for Real Madrid to date, scoring 13 goals and providing 5 assists, winning the Champions League and La Liga titles once each with the team.

After completing the transfer, Gonzalo said: "I am very grateful and happy to come to Fulham. I must thank the club's board of directors and Álvaro Arbeloa for their trust in me, and I am very excited about the new journey."

Fulham's vice-chairman and sporting director, Tony Khan, added: "I am delighted to welcome Gonzalo Garcia to Fulham! Gonzalo is a very talented young striker who is eager to come to Fulham and play in the Premier League. We believe that Gonzalo's arrival will greatly enhance the team's strength and that he will prove himself to be an excellent player under Alvaro's guidance!"

According to the official announcement, Gonzalo will wear the number 7 jersey at Fulham. His transfer fee is €40 million plus €2 million in add-ons, with Real Madrid also entitled to a 30% cut on any second transfer and a buy-back option.

Cesar Palacios

Along with Gonzalo, Real Madrid B midfielder Cesar Palacios also joined Fulham. He will also play for Fulham until June 30, 2031, with a one-year extension option in his contract.

The official announcement also confirmed that Palacios will wear the number 8 jersey for Fulham. His transfer fee is between €8 million and €10 million, and Real Madrid retains a 30% cut of the player's transfer fee and a buy-back option.

Regarding the signing, Tony Khan commented: "I am delighted to welcome Cesar Palacios to Fulham! Cesar is a hardworking and creative young midfielder who will be a great addition to our squad under Alvaro."

Palacios said: "I am very excited to come to Fulham. I believe this is the perfect step in my career. The club has placed great trust in me, and I will repay that trust with my actions on the pitch."
