August 6th - According to HoopsHype reporter Michael Scotto, the Los Angeles Clippers have reached a two-way contract agreement with free agent guard Jalen Pickett.

Pickett, 26, was selected 32nd overall in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets and has played for the Nuggets for the past three seasons. As a former Penn State player, Pickett had limited playing time in his rookie season but gradually entered the team's rotation.

In the 2025-26 season, Pickett played 50 games for the Nuggets, starting 18 of them, averaging 16.1 minutes, 5.2 points, 2.3 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Pickett shot 38.1% from three-point range in his final year of college and maintained that level in the NBA, with a career three-point percentage of 38.7% and an average of 5.7 three-point attempts per 36 minutes.

Previously, the Nuggets had a $ 2.4 million team option on Pickett for the 2026-27 season , but the team ultimately opted not to exercise it and did not offer him a qualifying offer, making Pickett a free agent. After joining the Clippers, Pickett will compete for a two-way contract spot, vying for a place on the team alongside Shawn Pedulla and 2026 second-round pick Nick Martinelli .
