Maresca said being Manchester City manager is the best job in football.

Enzo Maresca officially took over as Manchester City manager this summer, succeeding Pep Guardiola, who led the team to 20 titles in 10 years.

In an interview, the 46-year-old Italian manager expressed his excitement about coaching the team and stated that being Manchester City's manager is the best job in football.

Maresca previously served as manager of Manchester City's development team and assistant coach of the first team, and later achieved outstanding results at Leicester City and Chelsea.

Speaking about his return to Manchester City, Maresca emphasized the appeal of the management's alignment in strategic direction: "It's a fantastic job, wonderful and exciting, and an honor for me. Most importantly, Chairman Caldunn, Sporting Director Hugo, and CEO Ferran are completely aligned in their vision."

“This is a club that must win games and win championships, but we are also exploring how to make the club better year after year. It is crucial when everyone is communicating with the same mindset.”

In addition to Maresca, the coaching staff also welcomes the return of former player Willy Caballero. The goalkeeper, who helped Manchester City win the 2013-14 League Cup, will join the first-team coaching staff.

Maresca specifically praised Caballero's role in managing the locker room: "He's very important. Having played as a top professional player for 20 years, he completely understands what the players are thinking. He knows when to communicate more, when to talk less, and when to give a hug. He knows exactly how to get along with the players."
