Aston Villa's France international left wing-back Lucas Digne officially rejoins Paris Saint-Germain..

Paris Saint-Germain announced on their official website on Monday that Aston Villa's Francen international left wing-back Lucas Digne has rejoined the club.

According to PSG's official statement, Digne has signed on a three-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029. He will also wear the number 12 jersey previously worn by former Brazil international attacking midfielder Rafinha.

Furthermore, according to CBS Sports' resident renowned transfer reporter Ben Jacobs, PSG paid the Villans a transfer fee of €7 million to re-sign Digne.

After completing his transfer procedures, Digne, who was interviewed by the Paris Saint-Germain official website again, said: "I had a wonderful experience here more than ten years ago, and I feel incredibly honored to return to Paris Saint-Germain."

"I'm very impressed with the club's development over the years. The excellent working environment at the training ground reflects the club's ambition. I can't wait to start a new chapter and pour all my experience into the team. I will once again give my all to defend the honor of Paris Saint-Germain."

About Lucas Digne

The 33-year-old Digne was born on July 20, 1993, in Meaux, Seine-et-Marne, France. He is 1.78 meters tall and plays as a left wing-back.

Digne joined Lille's youth academy at the age of 12, began playing for their B team in 2010, and completed his first-team debut in a Coupe de la Ligue match in July 2011.

In July 2013, Digne moved to Paris Saint-Germain for €10 million.

During his two-year spell at Les Parisiens, Digne won the Trophée des Champions three times and complete the Ligue 1, Coupe de France, and Coupe de la Ligue treble double twice.

In August 2015, Digne was loaned-out to Roma.

The following July, Digne joined Barcelona for €20.5 million.

During his two-year spell at Barça, Digne won the Copa del Rey twice, La Liga once, and the Supercopa de España once.

In August 2018, Digne joined Everton for £18 million.

In January 2022, Digne moved to Aston Villa for £25 million.

During his four-and-a-half-year spell at the Villans, Digne made 182 appearances for the Premier League club in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 24 assists, and won the UEFA Europa League once.
