Burnley Football Club has officially announced the signing of Kazakhstani striker Dastan Satpayev on a one-season loan from Chelsea. The 18-year-old starlet will join the team for the 2026-27 season.
During his time playing for Almaty Kairat in the domestic league, Satpayev made 63 appearances and scored 27 goals. In 2025, he broke several records, becoming not only the youngest player to ever appear for the Kazakh national team, but also scoring his first international goal in a World Cup qualifier against Belgium.
Furthermore, Satepayev is the youngest Kazakhstani player to appear and score in the Champions League, having faced strong teams such as Real Madrid and Inter Milan in the competition.
In July of this year, Satpayev officially transferred to Chelsea and scored a goal in a preseason tour match against Western Sydney Wanderers. In order to get more playing time, he chose to join Burnley on loan for the new season.
Speaking about the transfer, Satpayev said in an interview: "I am very happy to come to Burnley. This is an important opportunity in my career and a club where I can showcase my abilities and help the team return to the top ranks. This is my first time playing in England, and I am ready to start a new chapter."
In the new season, the young striker will wear the Burnley jersey and compete in all competitions under the leadership of manager Nicky Hayen.
