Pelicans' all-time top five rebounders: Davis leads, West ranks second.

Since its inception in the 2002-03 season, the New Orleans Pelicans have produced many outstanding rebounders. Here are the top five rebounders in Pelicans franchise history:

1. Anthony Davis ( 4905 rebounds)

During his seven seasons in New Orleans, Davis established himself as one of the most dominant interior players in Pelicans history. The 2012 number one draft pick was a six- time All-Star, averaging 10.5 rebounds per game. He also holds franchise records for 26 rebounds in a single game and 712 defensive rebounds in a single season.

2. David West ( 3853 rebounds)

During his eight seasons with New Orleans , the two-time All-Star played 530 regular season games from 2003 to 2011 , accumulating 3,853 rebounds, and averaging 8.2 or more rebounds per game in three seasons.

3. PJ Brown ( 2675 rebounds)

Brown was selected to the NBA All-Defensive Second Team three times during his six seasons with the team . At his peak, he averaged 7.5 to 9.8 rebounds per game for several seasons , becoming one of the team's top rebounders in history thanks to his tough physique and consistent performance.

4. Jonas Valanciunas ( 2,368 rebounds)

During his three seasons in New Orleans , the fifth overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft played his first six seasons with the Toronto Raptors. In his 14 -season NBA career , he played over 1,000 games, averaging 12.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

5. Tyson Chandler ( 2225 rebounds)

In the 2006-07 season, Chandler averaged 12.4 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game, leading the league in offensive rebounds and finishing ninth in the Defensive Player of the Year voting that year.
