Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have officially announced the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho.
The 22-year-old Savinho previously played for Manchester City, making 24 appearances in the 2025/26 Premier League season and scoring one goal, while also contributing an assist in the Champions League. In addition, Savinho won the English League Cup and the FA Cup with Manchester City last season.
In an interview, Savinho said, "Although it took some time, I am very happy to be here now. It is a fantastic opportunity to join such an excellent club and play under one of the world's top managers."
“After my first conversation with the head coach, I knew I had to join this club. He also told me that he wanted to help me reach the highest level of my career, and I believe we can achieve that goal together as a team.”
Tottenham Hotspur manager De Zerbi said, "Saviño is a player who can bring energy, imagination and excellent technique to the wing. He has the courage to challenge defenders and the ability to change the course of the game with his creativity."
“We are very happy to have such a player. I look forward to working with him and helping him continue to grow, and I also look forward to seeing him integrate his personality into the team.”
On the other hand, Tottenham Hotspur will host Championship side Charlton Athletic in the second round of the 2026/27 EFL Cup. Meanwhile, De Zerby's team will face Newcastle United in the second round of the new Premier League season.
