The Utah Jazz announced Monday that they have re-signed free agent Matthew Murray. Multiple sources have confirmed that the two sides have reached a one-year Exhibit 10 contract.
The 24-year-old Murray is a 6'6" combo guard who plays for the Mississippi Rebels in NCAA Division I. He entered the 2025 NBA Draft but was ultimately not selected.
Despite this, Murray did not give up his dream of playing in the NBA. After going undrafted, he immediately signed with the Utah Jazz's G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City All-Stars, thus beginning his professional career.
To date, Murray has played 43 games for the Salt Lake City All-Stars, averaging 10.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals in 28.0 minutes per game, with a field goal percentage of 38.7% and a three-point percentage of 30.9%. During this time, he also won the 2025 G League Winter Exhibition Game Championship with the team.
After signing the contract, Murray will participate in training camp and preseason games with the Jazz. If he is not retained, he will most likely return to the Salt Lake City All-Star team after being waived, continue playing in the G League, and wait for his next opportunity.
