Friendly match – Hall, Sullivan, and Tillman all contributed to the USA's easy 3-0 victory over ten-man Mexico at home.

On October 3rd local time, the United States played an international friendly match against Mexico at State Agricultural Stadium. They ultimately won 3-0.

Both teams traded attacks in the opening stages, but few of them posed a real threat. In the 28th minute, the United States broke the deadlock: Giovanni Reyna's cross from the right side of the penalty area caused Raul Ranger to fumble the save, and Julian Hall quickly followed up to score. In the 44th minute, Luis Romo's cross from the right side of the penalty area also resulted in a mistake by Diego Cohen, but Santiago Jimenez's close-range follow-up shot went just wide.

The second half began with both sides switching ends. In the 58th minute, Luis Chavez delivered a free kick from the left flank, and Roberto Alvarado's shot inside the penalty area was tipped over the bar by Cohen. In the 62nd minute, the United States further extended their lead: Ranger's misplaced pass allowed Calvin Sullivan to capitalize with a long-range shot and score again.

In the 67th minute, Mexico, already trailing by two goals, suffered another blow: Matteo Chávez fouled Yunus Musa on the right wing without provocation and was subsequently shown a red card. Trailing 0-2 and playing with ten men, Mexico found themselves in a very passive position for the remaining 23 minutes.

In the 73rd minute, Musa passed the ball back from the right side of the penalty area, and Alex Freeman's long-range shot went just wide. In the 85th minute, Álvaro Feddalgo Fernández and Diego Campillo made a mistake in their combination play, gifting Malik Tillman a goal. Neither side managed to score again, and the final score remained 3-0.
