Sebastian Pocognoli hopes his team can continue to create more chances against Slovenia.

Scotland national team manager Sebastian Pocognoli attended a pre-match press conference at Barclays-Hampton Hall to prepare for the team's upcoming match against Slovenia. Scotland secured their first victory under Pocognoli in charge at Skopje and are now hoping to finish the UEFA Nations League window with two consecutive wins, while Slovenia will travel to face Scotland.

Sebastian Pocognoli praised the team's performance on Saturday. However, he also acknowledged that Slovenia is stronger and the match would be more difficult. The two teams played to a goalless draw in their first match of the training camp.

Sebastian Pocognoli said: "This victory means a lot to us because it is the team's first win. We were certainly very happy when the final whistle blew. But we also know that just three days later, when we return to our home ground, we must put on the same performance against another opponent in a different environment. Everything needs to start from scratch."

"Tomorrow's match is crucial for the group standings. If we can only manage a draw away from home, then we must strive to perform better at home. In the last match, we created more chances, which is a positive sign for a team with many new players and is developing a completely new playing philosophy."

“I hope we can continue to create chances tomorrow, but reality demands that we win and score. Slovenia is a very organized team; they have great overall running ability and excellent teamwork, just as they did against Switzerland.”
