Robinson's recovery timeline after fracturing his right little finger is yet to be determined.

May 29th - According to ESPN, New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson suffered a fracture of his right pinky finger and there is currently no definite timetable for his return. Sources indicate that the team has not officially announced the injury, but the defensive-minded big man is likely to miss part of the NBA Finals.

The Knicks swept the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, returning to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999. The team will face either the Oklahoma City Thunder or the San Antonio Spurs in the Finals in early June, with Game 1 of the series scheduled for Wednesday.

The 28-year-old Robinson averaged 5.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game in the regular season, making him an important member of the Knicks' interior defense system. In the playoffs, he averaged 5.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks per game, primarily serving as a backup rim protector and providing support when Karl-Anthony Towns got into foul trouble.

Although his offensive stats weren't particularly impressive, Robinson's defensive coverage and presence in the paint were always crucial components of the Knicks' rotation. However, his poor free throw shooting—making only 13 of 43 free throws in the playoffs for a mere 30.2% success rate—made him a frequent target for opponents.
