Elversberg announced on its official website on Saturday that the club had triggered the buyout clause of on-loan Hamburg Polish midfielder Łukasz Poręba.
According to Elversberg's official statement, Poręba has signed on a three-year contract with the club which will run until the summer of 2029.
After completing his transfer procedures, Poręba, who was interviewed by the Elversberg official website again, said: "Last year at Elversberg was incredibly meaningful for me. We made history together by being promoted to the Bundesliga, and I felt a great deal of trust here, feeling very comfortable from the start. Now, it feels right to continue together as we face the upcoming challenges of the Bundesliga."
About Łukasz Poręba
The 26-year-old Poręba was born on March 13, 2000, in Legnica, Poland. He is 1.79 meters tall and primarily plays as a defensive midfielder, but can also play as an attacking midfielder.
Poręba joined Zagłębie Lubin's youth academy at a young age and completed his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in September 2018.
After his contract expired in the summer of 2022, Poręba joined Lens as a free agent.
On the summer transfer window deadline day of the following year, Poręba was loaned-out to Hamburg, with his ownership rights being permanently bought out in the summer of 2024.
In July 2025, Poręba joined Elversberg on-loan.
Last season, Poręba made 36 appearances for the newly promoted Bundesliga side in all competitions, scoring one goal and providing three assists.
