June 7th - According to ESPN, the New York Knicks issued a statement on Saturday reminding fans to minimize the number of items they bring with them during President Donald Trump's attendance at Game 3 of the NBA Finals. They also advised arriving at Madison Square Garden at least two hours early to accommodate the increased security screening process.
According to the team, a strict " no bags " policy will be enforced for this game , prohibiting any type of bag from being brought into the arena. Fans will also be subject to security screening procedures similar to those of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration ( TSA ) to ensure order and safety at the venue.
In addition, the Knicks have made it clear that Madison Square Garden will not provide storage or caching services for prohibited items, and spectators should make preparations in advance.
Trump is a fan of the New York Knicks. He confirmed on Friday that he will travel to New York to watch Game 3 of the NBA Finals live, marking the first time since 1999 that a US president has been in attendance at an NBA Finals game held in New York.
