Getafe completes contract extension with legendary goalkeeper David Soria..

Getafe announced on their official website on Tuesday that they have extended the contract of their Spanish legendary goalkeeper David Soria.

According to Getafe's official statement, Soria has signed on a new long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.

About David Soria

The 33-year-old David Soria was born on April 4, 1993, in Madrid, Spain. He is 1.92 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper.

Soria played for the youth academies of Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid as a child, and also participated in trials at the youth academies of Leicester City, Birmingham City, Stoke City, and Sporting Gijón, but these experiences often ended in failure, nearly leading to his early retirement.

Fortunately, Soria got the opportunity to play for Sevilla's C and B teams in 2013. After years of hard work, his dream finally came true, when he completed his Sevilla first-team debut in a Copa del Rey match in December 2015.

During his three-year spell with Los Nervionenses, Soria won the UEFA Europa League title once with the club.

In July 2018, Soria moved to Getafe for €3 million.

Since joining Getafe, Soria has so far made 301 appearances for the La Liga club in all competitions, conceding 325 goals and keeping 100 clean sheets, as well as being the goalkeeper who has the second-most appearance for the club.
