Lecce has confirmed that it has reached a contract extension agreement with head coach Eusebio Di Francesco.

Lecce FC has officially announced that it has reached a contract extension agreement with first-team head coach Eusebio Di Francesco. Under the existing contract, following the team's successful survival in the league, Di Francesco's contract automatically extended to June 30, 2027. After further negotiations, both parties decided to deepen their cooperation and extend the contract until the end of the 2027/28 season.  

Speaking about the contract extension, Eusebio Di Francesco said: "I am delighted to continue coaching at this club. I sincerely thank President Saverio Sticchi Damiani, all the shareholders, and first-team technical director Stefano Trincella for their trust and recognition of me."  

“I remain highly motivated for the future, and this passion is no different from when I first came to Lecce. I still vividly remember the tremendous support from the fans when we played Genoa at home, and I can never forget the awe-inspiring scene of the Salento fans traveling all the way to the Mapei Stadium.”  

"Last season we created a new chapter in the club's history together, and now we must continue along the established path. We are also aware that the future will still be full of challenges and difficulties, but as long as everyone stays united, we have the opportunity to achieve our goals again."  

Lecce expressed their full appreciation for Eusebio Di Francesco's coaching performance and the team's achievements, and hoped that he would continue to lead the team to stable development and achieve greater progress and breakthroughs in future seasons.
