Resilience and VG have qualified for The International 2026.

The closed qualifiers for the 2026 Dota 2 International (TI 2026) China region concluded on June 18.

Newcomer Team Resilience and traditional powerhouse Vici Gaming (VG) have secured both qualifying spots for their region. They will join Xtreme Gaming, who received a direct invite, to represent China at the TI 15 Grand Finals, held from August 13th to 23rd at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center.

As the biggest dark horse of this year's qualifiers, Team Resilience, which was just formed in April, swept all opponents in the winners' bracket without losing a single game, defeating Cloud Rising, Team Refuser, and Yakutou Brothers to secure the first qualifying spot. The team consists of Erika, Echo, Niu, planet, and Zzq, and is coached by veteran Super.

In contrast, VG's path to the finals was extremely difficult. After being knocked down to the lower bracket by the Yakutou Brothers, the two teams faced off again in the lower bracket finals for the last ticket. In the decisive game, VG, facing a 64,000 gold deficit, rallied by having all members purchase Divine Rapiers and buybacks, ultimately completing a comeback in a grueling 93-minute battle to defeat their opponents 2-1.

VG currently boasts a star-studded roster, including Shiro, Xm, Bach, XinQ, y, and coach Yao. Among them, TI6 champion duo Bach and y are returning to the TI stage, while Xm and XinQ were runners-up at last year's TI.

With the conclusion of the China regional qualifiers, the two teams will begin their home training in August, where they will compete with 14 other top teams from around the world for the championship.
