Liverpool sign Spanish starlet Victor Muñoz

Liverpool Football Club has announced that it has reached an agreement to sign Osasuna striker Victor Munoz. The deal is currently subject to the outcome of his work visa application and international transfer clearance.

The 22-year-old Muñoz came through Barcelona's youth academy before joining Real Madrid's youth system and making four appearances for the first team. Last summer, he transferred to Osasuna, where he performed admirably in the past season, making 34 appearances in all competitions, contributing 7 goals and 5 assists.

Thanks to his outstanding performance at the club, Muñoz was selected for the Spanish national team for the first time in March this year, and scored a goal in his debut against Serbia.

Muñoz is currently with the Spanish national team in the United States for the 2026 World Cup. He has completed a medical examination arranged by Liverpool FC at the national team's training base in Tennessee and signed a long-term contract.

This Sunday, Muñoz is expected to represent Spain in their second group stage match against Saudi Arabia in Atalanta. Muñoz is the first new signing under manager Andoni Iraola and the second player Liverpool will bring in for the 2026-27 season.

Prior to this, Liverpool had already signed Jeremy Jacquet earlier this year. After finishing his World Cup campaign with the national team, Muñoz will officially join Liverpool later this summer to reunite with his new teammates.
