Manchester City officially announce the signing of its sister club Troyes' French winger wonderkid Mathys Detourbet..

Manchester City announced on their official website on Sunday that they have signed France U19s international winger wonderkid Mathys Detourbet from their sister club Troyes.

According to Manchester City's official statement, Detourbet has signed a on a long-term six-dear deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2032.

Furthermore, according to French newspaper L'Équipe, the transfer fee of Detourbet is £21.5 million, and the Premier League giants are expected to loan him back to France.

Currently, Manchester City are in talks with Monaco regarding a loan deal for Detourbet.

About Mathys Detourbet

Mathys Detourbet, who is only still 19 years old, was born on April 29, 2007, in Troyes, France. He is 1.78 meters tall and primarily plays as a left winger, but can also play as a center forward or attacking midfielder.

Detourbet joined Troyes' youth academy at the age of 8, began playing for their B team in 2024, and completed his Troyes first-team debut by in the Coupe de France match in against Rennes in January 2025.

During his time at Troyes, Detourbet made 51 appearances for the newly promoted Ligue 1 side in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists, and helped the club win the Ligue 2 title.
