Monaco officially announce the signing of defender Flávio Nazinho from their sister club, Cercle Brugge..


Monaco announced on their official website on Thursday that they have signed Portugal U23s international defender Flávio Nazinho from their sister club, Cercle Brugge.


According to the Ligue 1 powerhouse's official statement, Nazinho has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.


About Flávio Nazinho


The 22-year-old Flávio Nazinho was born on July 20, 2003, in Almada, Portugal. He is 1.78 meters tall and primarily plays as a left wing-back but can also play as a left midfielder. He holds dual Portuguese and Guinea-Bissau citizenship.


Nazinho played for Sporting Clube de Portugal's youth academy as a child, then moved to Braga's at age 14. He returned to Sporting Clube de Portugal's youth academy in 2018, started playing for its B team two years later, before completing his Sporting Clube de Portugal first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in a UEFA Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund in November 2021.


On the 2023 summer transfer window deadline day, Nazinho joined Cercle Brugge on-loan. His ownership rights was then permanently purchased the following summer for €2 million.


During his three-year spell at Cercle Brugge, Nazinho has made 94 appearances for the Jupiler Pro League club in all competitions, scoring 6 goals and providing 16 assists.
