July 11th - According to ESPN, Chicago Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson made his Summer League debut. Although the team ultimately lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 96-97, Wilson scored 35 points in a stunning performance.

According to ESPN, Wilson became the second-highest scorer in his debut since the Las Vegas Summer League was founded in 2004, second only to Belinelli's record of 37 points in 2007.

This was Wilson's first official game since February 10th . His college season at the University of North Carolina ended prematurely due to a wrist fracture. The excitement of returning to the court before the game brought Wilson to tears.

“ It’s been a full five months since I last played, and I’ve been feeling terrible about not being able to compete, ” Wilson said after the game. “ It was a tough time for me, going through the team’s loss in the NCAA Tournament and the coach’s departure. So being able to step back onto the court today feels like a long-awaited opportunity has finally arrived. ”

During the game, Wilson showcased his all-around offensive abilities, with a particularly impressive three-point shooting performance. He made 7 three-pointers, tying his total three-pointers made in 24 games throughout his college career. In addition, he contributed 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 2 steals.

" We lost. I made too many mistakes and didn't do a good job on rebounds, " Wilson said. He committed six turnovers in the game .

Bulls head coach Tiago Splitter said after the game, "We are still getting to know Wilson. He showed great shooting and versatility in his first game, but it's a long road to growth that requires continuous training and integration.
