Turkish international Çelik has joined Juventus on a free transfer, signing a three-year contract.

Juventus officially announced on Thursday that 29-year-old Turkish international Zeki Çelik has joined the club on a free transfer. The two sides signed a three-year contract, valid until June 30, 2029.

The official statement also confirmed that the signing incurred only an additional cost of €1 million. This fee is related to player registration procedures and will be paid by Juventus within this fiscal year.

After completing the signing, Celik said on the X platform: "A new chapter begins. I am honored to wear the black and white jersey and am ready to do my best for the club. Let's get to work."

Celik primarily plays as a right-back, but can also play as a right winger or center-back when necessary. He came through the Bursaspor youth academy and had brief stints with Karajbej and Istanbulspor early in his career.

In July 2018, Czerlik officially joined Lille in one of Europe's top five leagues. He played for Lille for four seasons, making 143 appearances across all competitions, contributing 8 goals and 18 assists, and winning the 2020/21 Ligue 1 title with the team.

Based on his outstanding performance in Ligue 1, Czerik transferred to Roma in 2022 for €7.4 million. To date, he has made 151 appearances for Roma, scoring 2 goals and providing 10 assists.

Çelik is currently considered an indispensable mainstay of Turkey's defense. Since making his senior national team debut in June 2018, he has made a total of 63 appearances in all competitions, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists, and has represented the team in the 2024 European Championship and this World Cup.
