The first two rounds of the online 2026 BLAST Bounty Season 2 have concluded, and the eight teams that will advance to the offline playoffs in Malta have been determined.
As the most unpredictable CS2 tournament this year, many highly anticipated teams were eliminated in the first two rounds, making the quarterfinals even more unpredictable and lopsided.
On the first day of competition, FaZe defeated DENDELE 2-1, securing a winning start to the new season. Following this, the new Liquid, led by JT, displayed exceptional tactical awareness, achieving a 2-0 victory over G2. Astralis narrowly advanced after a three-game series against HOTU, while MOUZ also defeated the new lineup FOKUS 2-0.
On the second day of competition, paiN Gaming defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-0, securing the first ticket to the next round. 3DMAX defeated FUT, who recently acquired xfl0ud, 2-0. The MongolZ achieved a complete victory over Wildcard and successfully advanced, while young players DarkMeister and tikuak will be making their first appearance in a top-tier offline tournament.
In the final, highly anticipated match, 100 Thieves missed several crucial rounds, losing the first game, Anubis, 11-13. Although dev1ce led his team to a 13-4 victory in the second game, Mirage, Spirit found their rhythm in the deciding game, ultimately sweeping their opponents 13-0 to secure the last quarterfinal spot.
The eight teams that have advanced to the Malta playoffs are: FaZe Clan, Liquid, MOUZ, Astralis, paiN Gaming, 3DMAX, The MongolZ, and Spirit.
