Draymond Green signs a new one-year contract with the Warriors to begin his 15th season.

According to renowned agent Rich Paul, Draymond Green has reached a one-year, $27.7 million contract extension agreement with the Golden State Warriors.

Before the start of free agency this summer, Green opted out of his $27.6 million player option, freeing up salary cap space for the Warriors to attract LeBron James.

However, after James decided to go to Philadelphia, Green immediately began negotiations with the Warriors and completed a contract extension. According to sources, this one-year contract does not include a no-trade clause.

This will be Green's 15th season with the Warriors, making him the second longest-serving player in the NBA, behind only his teammate Stephen Curry.

Before the trade deadline in February, Draymond Green was involved in trade discussions between the Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo. Green admitted that although he was somewhat upset at the time, he fully understood the operating logic of commercial leagues. Ultimately, the trade did not go through, and the Warriors abandoned their plans to pursue Antetokounmpo this summer.

Last season, Green played 68 games, averaging 27.5 minutes per game. Although his individual statistics declined slightly, he remained a key rotation player for the team. Green stated that he would be fully willing to accept a substitute role if head coach Steve Kerr subsequently assigns him to the bench.
