Monaco officially announced the signing of Nantes striker Ablin, with a transfer fee of up to 30 million euros.

Monaco announced on Thursday the signing of French striker Matthias Abrin from Nantes. The two sides reached a five-year contract, valid until June 30, 2031.

Multiple sources have confirmed that Abrin's transfer fee is €25 million plus €5 million in add-ons. His contract with Nantes was originally set to expire in 2028, and he had previously attracted interest from several clubs, including Paris FC, Sunderland, and Galatasaray.

The 23-year-old Ablin came through the Rennes youth academy and made his professional debut on April 25, 2021, in a Ligue 1 match against Dijon. He was subsequently loaned out to Le Havre and Auxerre before finally settling in Nantes in August 2023.

In July 2024, Nantes officially bought out Ablin for a club-record €12 million. To date, Ablin has made 94 appearances for Nantes, scoring 24 goals and providing 10 assists.

After completing the transfer, Ablin stated on his personal social media platform: "A new chapter is about to begin. I am very happy to join Monaco, an ambitious and historic club."
