Fiorentina defender Matías Moreno officially joins Venezia on-loan..

Venezia announced on their official website on Friday that Fiorentina's Argentina center-back Matías Moreno has joined the club on-loan.

According to Venezia's official statement, Moreno will play for the club on-loan until the end of the new season, with a conditional mandatory purchase clause included in the loan agreement.

After completing the transfer procedures, Moreno, who was interviewed by the Venezia official website for the first time, said: "This city and this club have impressed me from the very beginning. I was immediately attracted by Venezia's philosophy and immediately felt the club's trust in me."

"Venice is a truly unique city, and I can't wait to fully experience it. I will give my all, every single day. I believe we can be a resilient team, giving our all in every game. We want to make the fans proud, and every time we step onto the pitch, we will give it our all."

About Matías Moreno

The 22-year-old Moreno was born on September 24, 2003, in Córdoba, Argentina. He is 1.93 meters tall and plays as a center-back. 

Moreno joined Atlético Belgrano's youth academy at a young age and made his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in July 2023.

In August 2024, Moreno joined Fiorentina for €5 million.

However, since joining, Moreno has only had very limited playing time for the Serie A powerhouse.

In the summer of 2025, Moreno joined Levante on-loan.

Last season, Moreno made 29 appearances for the La Liga club in all competitions, without scoring or assisting.
