The Phoenix Suns have signed Dillon Brooks to a three-year, $73 million contract extension, locking him out until 2030.

August 6th - According to ESPN , the Phoenix Suns have reached a contract extension agreement with forward Dillon Brooks . The contract is for three years and worth $ 73 million, with the partnership extending into the 2029-30 season.

Brooks' agent, Mike George of Klutch Sports , confirmed the news to ESPN . In the recently concluded season, Brooks had the best performance of his career, averaging 20.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game, setting a new career high in scoring and helping the Suns achieve 45 wins and advance to the playoffs.

After joining the Suns, Brooks quickly became an integral part of the team's defensive system and culture. Under head coach Jordan Ott , his tough playing style and excellent wing defense helped the Suns improve their defensive efficiency from 27th in the league in the 2024-25 season to 9th last season .

Brooks joined the Suns from the Houston Rockets last offseason as part of the Kevin Durant trade. He missed 18 games last season due to a fractured left hand, but quickly regained his form after returning on March 31 , averaging 26 points per game in the playoffs with a 43.8% three-point shooting percentage .
