On the eve of the 2026 Dota 2 International (TI 2026), LGD Gaming officially announced that two-time TI champion Topson will join the team as a substitute mid-laner to represent LGD in the tournament.

This emergency roster change stems from the penalty announcement on August 9th. LGD's former 17-year-old Peruvian mid-laner, TaiLung, was suspended by the tournament organizer PGL and LGD team for violating fair play regulations.

TaiLung's disqualification from TI 2026 and all subsequent PGL events has severely impacted the upcoming LGD team.

With only a few days left to prepare, LGD urgently contacted the retired legendary player Topson. In a statement on Weibo, LGD stated that Topson possesses extensive experience in international competitions, a unique hero pool, and extremely strong creativity. Topson won the TI 2018 and TI 2019 championships with OG and finished third with Tundra Esports at TI 2024. He is one of the most representative figures in the professional Dota 2 scene.
