Jernan Pečnović has joined Stuttgart and will play for the club until 2031.

Stuttgart have officially announced the signing of 21-year-old striker Dženan Pečnovic from VfL Wolfsburg. The two sides have reached a long-term agreement, with the contract running until June 30, 2031. Pečnovic previously played for VfL Wolfsburg, scoring 12 goals in 39 official appearances. His arrival will inject new energy into Stuttgart's attack and further enhance the team's offensive strength for the 2026/27 season.

Stuttgart's sporting director Fabian Volgmuth said: "We finalized our plans to bring in Dženan Pečnovic a long time ago. He possesses all the abilities needed to become an important attacking option for the team and can help the team at this stage. At the same time, he is still young and has a lot of room for growth and improvement in the future."

"Successfully attracting such a young player who has garnered significant attention in the transfer market is a very positive sign for us. It not only reflects the club's current appeal but also further demonstrates Stuttgart's continued strong growth momentum in recent years."

Speaking about joining Stuttgart, Djenan Pečnovic said, "I think I might need a few more days to really process all of this. So much has happened in the last two or three days, the whole process was incredibly fast. I packed my bags quickly and got to Stuttgart as soon as possible. Now, I can't wait to start this new journey. In addition, I've met some new teammates through the German youth national team, which has allowed me to integrate into the team more quickly."

“After last season ended, I learned that Stuttgart was interested in me. My family and I quickly reached an agreement that this was a transfer I wanted to complete. Subsequently, I had frank and pleasant conversations with Fabian Volgmuth and Sebastian Hoeneß, and they made a very good impression on me. Therefore, when it came time to make a decision, it wasn't difficult for me. Now, I hope to integrate into the team as soon as possible and do my best to help Stuttgart have a successful season.”
