Dota 2: LGD Gaming's mid-laner TaiLung given a lifetime ban for allegedly "violating competitive integrity"..

Esports Insider reported on Monday, citing an official statement from PGL, that Hangzhou-based Dota 2 esports team LGD Gaming's mid-laner TaiLung, has been given a lifetime ban for allegedly "violating competitive integrity."

According to the report, PGL immediately commissioned its Disciplinary and Ethics Committee to conduct an independent investigation into TaiLung after receiving a complaint. Ultimately, following the investigation, the authorities decided to impose a lifetime ban on TaiLung.

This means he will be banned from participating in any PGL-organized tournaments. He will also be banned from participating in this year's The International 15 (Ti15).

Following the announcement, LGD confirmed the matter via their official X (Twitter) account, stating that the team will cooperate closely with PGL in the ongoing subsequent investigation.

The vacancy left by TaiLung's ban will be filled by Finnish ace player Topson.

It is worth mentioning that TaiLung becomes the fourth Peruvian Dota 2 esports player to be banned for life in recent times.

Previously, analyst Flapjack, PTime mid-laner DarkMago, and the team's coach Vintage were all banned for life for match-fixing during the 2026 Esports World Cup.

The latter two were even banned for life by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC), meaning their professional esports playing / coaching careers ended prematurely.

TaiLung expressed his dissatisfaction with his own ban through his official social media account and threatened to seek legal advice.

The 17-year-old TaiLung previously played for AcatSuki, OG, Amaru, and HEROIC before joining LGD in the summer of 2026.

During his time with LGD, TaiLung helped the team achieve a runner-up finish in BLAST Slam VII.
