Hull City have announced the signing of Noble Mendy to a five-year contract.

Hull City have officially announced the signing of Senegalese international Noël Mendy from La Liga's Rayo Vallecano. While the transfer fee was not disclosed, it is a new club record for the highest transfer fee. The 21-year-old Mendy has signed a five-year contract, running until the summer of 2031, with Hull City having an option to extend for another year.  

In the 2025/26 season, Nobel Mendy represented Rayo Vallecano in all competitions, making 28 appearances and scoring 2 goals. His final match for the club was the 2026 UEFA Europa League final. Last season in La Liga, Rayo Vallecano's defensive statistics were among the best in the league, with only three teams conceding fewer goals. Nobel Mendy started 22 of those matches and helped the team achieve 7 clean sheets.  

Before joining Rayo Vallecano, Noble Mendy played for Real Betis, helping the team reach the 2025 UEFA Champions League final. During his time at Real Betis, he made six appearances for the first team and also played 34 matches for the club's B team, gaining valuable experience.  

Noble Mendy came through the Paris FC football club, where he began his professional career. He made his Ligue 2 debut on December 26, 2022, officially launching his professional career. After three appearances for Paris FC, he joined Real Betis on loan in September 2023, and later completed a permanent transfer.  

As his individual performance improved, Noble Mendy earned the opportunity to represent Senegal as a national team. In March 2026, he made his debut for the national team in an international friendly, starting the match and helping his team defeat Gambia 3-1. This match remains his only appearance for the national team to date.  

Speaking about joining Hull City, Noble Mendy said: "I am very happy to be here and I am incredibly proud to be a part of Hull City. I am a physically gifted player who always prioritizes defense on the pitch, and I hope to use my strengths to help the team."
