After coaching Gonzaga for over 30 years, Foo was officially inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame.

According to an official NBA report, Gonzaga University head coach Mark Foyle has been officially inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. With over 30 years of coaching experience, he transformed a small private university into one of the most influential basketball powerhouses in the NCAA .

Foyle's coaching career is nothing short of legendary. He led his teams to the NCAA Tournament for 27 consecutive seasons , achieving at least 23 wins in each of those 27 years , and reaching the Final Four twice. In the 2016-17 season, Gonzaga achieved an impressive 37 wins, ultimately reaching the National Championship and finishing as runners-up.

Since becoming head coach of Gonzaga in 1999 , Filippo Foyle has nurtured a large number of outstanding players, including Adam Morrison , Kelly Olynyk , Domantas Sabonis , Rui Hachimura, Jalen Sagos , Andrew Nembhardt , and Chet Holmgren . Nearly 30 players he has coached have eventually entered the NBA , including seven lottery picks and several All-Stars.

Fow currently boasts a record of 773 wins and 156 losses, a winning percentage of 83.2% , and has twice won the NABC and Naismith Coach of the Year awards. Even more remarkably, he began his career as an unpaid high school assistant coach in 1986 , joined Gonzaga in 1989 , became a full-time assistant coach in 1990 , and finally became head coach in 1999 .

Under Foyle's leadership, Gonzaga gradually grew from an ordinary team into a college basketball powerhouse. He also nurtured many players who later became active in the NBA , and his influence has long transcended college basketball.

Fauci admitted he never imagined he would be inducted into the Hall of Fame, attributing the honor to the players and coaching staff he had worked with along the way. " Ultimately, it all comes down to your players. "
