Liam Delap is happy to score his first goal and contribute to the team's victory since joining Nottingham Forest.

Liam Delap was delighted to score his first goal for Nottingham Forest and help his team secure three points. Nottingham Forest ultimately defeated Aston Villa 2-1 at Villa Park. The striker, who joined from Chelsea this summer, unleashed a long-range shot from outside the penalty area early in the second half, sending the ball into the net and scoring his first goal for Nottingham Forest.

Aston Villa then equalized through Alisson's goal, but Nottingham Forest ultimately secured the victory with a late goal from Igor Jesus. In a post-match interview, Liam Delap couldn't hide his joy, a constant smile on his face, expressing his excitement about scoring his first goal for Nottingham Forest and the team's first win of the season.

Liam Delap said: “I’m really happy. We proved last week that we can compete with any opponent, but it’s a pity that we didn’t get the points we deserved. But today, we won the game with our performance, and these 3 points are well deserved.”

"In the first half, we showed how to find attacking space and knew which areas we could create threats from, but we didn't quite execute it to our full potential. In the second half, however, we successfully brought out all our strengths."

“I still believe we can show even greater strength. We created significantly more chances than our opponents, and if we can further improve our finishing, we might have scored even more goals. Of course, we are very happy to win the game. There is no doubt that this team still has a lot of room for improvement and more strength to show.”

“We showed unwavering determination in the game and demonstrated the team’s belief in victory. There was no doubt that we dominated the game, and it felt wonderful to finally score that crucial goal. The games over the past few weeks have proven that we deserved this result. I’m so glad that we finally achieved it today.”
